Read this before you point. Each risk below is real. None of them is hypothetical, and several can happen at the same time.
1. Memecoins can go to zero
The flock buys memecoins. Memecoins can lose all their value in minutes. A pool can be drained, a contract can block sells, a deployer can walk away. The stop at −35% only works if there is someone to sell to.
2. The vault is team-controlled
The flock vault is funded by the team treasury and controlled by it. The owner can withdraw any amount at any time. The owner can pause turns and change every parameter. Every withdrawal is an onchain event, but seeing it does not stop it. See treasury and control.
3. Rules can lose money repeatedly
Fixed exits are not a strategy that wins. A stop can fire and the coin can recover right after. A take profit can sell half just before a much larger move. The max hold of 6 hours can close a position at a loss. Many losing turns in a row are possible, and the vault can shrink turn after turn.
4. Thin liquidity and slippage
Even eligible pools can be thin. Liquidity can be pulled after the flock buys. Each chunk has a slippage cap of 3%, but a sell that cannot fill within the cap waits, and the price can keep falling while it waits.
5. Front-running despite mitigations
Compasses are public, and turns are scheduled. Traders can buy the likely target before the turn and sell into the flock. Holding rules, chunked buys and slippage caps make this more expensive. They do not stop it. See front-running and manipulation.
6. Nobody calls the turn
Turns only run when someone calls them. There is no keeper and no backend. If nobody calls, no turn happens, and exits are not checked either. Missed turns are skipped, never stacked. A position can fall far below its stop before the next call sells it. See turns.
7. Smart contract risk
The contracts can have bugs. A bug can lock funds, break the turn, mis-weight compasses or let someone take what is in the vault. Verified source and careful review reduce this risk. They do not remove it. See contracts.
8. $MYR confers no claim on any funds
Holding $MYR gives you no claim on the treasury, no claim on the flock vault and no payouts. You cannot exchange it for vault assets. Its price is set by the market and can fall to nothing. It gives you a voice in where the flock turns, and a rank. See $MYR.
Also worth knowing
- Parameters can change. The owner can change turn, exit, eligibility and rank rules. This site reads from one config, so what you see here is what is set.
- Fakes. Anyone can deploy a token called $MYR. Only trust addresses on contracts and announcements from @myriasco.
- Nothing here is advice. This page describes the protocol. It does not tell you what to do with your money.
