Read the sky well, lead the flock. Your rank reflects how often the target you pointed at was chosen and reached take profit. A higher rank multiplies your compass weight.
The ladder
| Rank | From (net successful calls) | Weight multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Speck | 0 | 1× |
| Starling | 3 | 1.15× |
| Wing | 8 | 1.35× |
| Lead | 15 | 1.6× |
| Murmur | 30 | 2× |
The number in the "from" column is net successful calls: successes minus failures. Everyone starts as Speck.
How you rise
A call is scored when a position closes. If the target you were pointing at was chosen by the turn, and that position reaches take profit before it closes (its take-profit sale goes through, and the position returns at least 110% of what it cost), it counts as a success. Positions smaller than 0.01 ETH never score, win or loss. A price that touches 2× and falls back before anything is sold does not count. Your net count goes up by one.
How you fall
If the target you were pointing at was chosen and the position closes at the stop, it counts as a failure. Your net count goes down by one. Fall below the threshold of your rank and you drop to the one below.
What does not count
- Targets that were not chosen. If you pointed somewhere else and the flock went elsewhere, nothing changes.
- Max hold closes. A position closed by the clock, not the take profit or the stop, does not move your rank.
- Compasses that were not counted. A call is scored only if at least 100,000 $MYR of your deposit was active (past its first full turn) when the target was picked. A newer or smaller deposit does not score, win or loss.
- The same position twice. A position counts once per holder, however many times it was picked.
Each scored call emits a CallSettled event with your address, the position, the target and the outcome. Settling is lazy: it happens when you move your compass, or when anyone calls settleRank for you (the Settle my calls button). Token transfers never settle, so they stay cheap and always work. Your history is in the Rank tab.
The multiplier
Your weight on every turn is activeDeposit * rankMultiplier. The multiplier runs from 1× for Speck to 2× for Murmur. It is applied on top of your active deposit.
So a Murmur with a modest balance can outweigh a Speck with a larger one. That is the point. The flock should lean toward holders who read the sky well, not only toward the largest wallets.
Why ranks exist
Without ranks, weight is only money. The largest balance would always decide. Ranks add a second signal: a record of good calls. It is earned slowly and lost at the stop.
Changing the ladder
The owner can change rank thresholds and multipliers. The table above reads from the same config as the rest of the site, so any change shows here. See contracts and admin powers.
